To get inspiration for our website, we looked at other existing websites to see what they include.
Life of Pi has been recently released so their website is still active. Though not of the horror genre we decided to look at it as it uses some creative displays we had not previously thought of.
The background of the site is moving and constantly switches between scenes from the film, it also gives you the option to share the background with other people. The moving background is particularly inspiring and an idea we may use in our website.
Underneath the title an release date, different reviews and credits change to show the audience that the film is highly recommended.
It has links to Facebook to like and Twitter both to tweet and follow the film, linking it to the social networks.
The menu at the bottom pops up when you hover your mouse over it. This is a good technique as it doesn't cover up the background when it is not being used.
Overall this website, though not for a horror film, is very inspiring and especially in the case of the moving background, has some ideas we plan on taking forward.
